🚌 The Five Night Routes

All routes run one-way: City Center → Suburbs. They don't pick up passengers heading downtown. Tap any route to see it live on the map.

Exact Departure Times

Departure Time
First bus 01:20
Second bus 02:25
Last bus 03:45

All 5 routes depart simultaneously from Lækjartorg at these times. Frequency ≈ 65–80 min. Miss one = long wait in the cold.

⚠️
Don't Miss Your Bus

Drivers leave exactly on time. Chaos at Lækjartorg after 2 AM — they won't wait for stragglers. Have your phone/card ready, know your route number, and board fast.

🚌 Onboard: What to Expect

Accessibility

Standard low-floor city buses with pull-down ramps. Wheelchair spaces available.

📶
Free WiFi

Standard fleet includes free onboard WiFi. Good for checking maps or calling a ride if you miss your stop.

🚲
No Bikes Recommended

Front racks exist but drivers often refuse bikes on night routes (safety, crowds). Light bags/backpacks fine. No luggage compartments.

🔄
One-Way Only

Buses go outbound only. If you need to catch it mid-route, track it live in the Klapp app — they don't follow a published suburban timetable.

🛴 Missed the Last Bus?

🛴
Hopp E-Scooters

Widely available downtown. If you miss the 02:25 or 03:45 departure, a scooter is often faster/cheaper than waiting 65+ min in the cold. Download the Hopp app beforehand.

🚕
Taxis & Ride-Share

Taxis queue at Lækjartorg and Austurstræti. Apps: Hreyfill, BSR. Expensive but reliable for suburbs not on night routes.

🚶
Walkable from Hubs

If you live near Ártún (east), Hamraborg (Kópavogur), or Mjódd, you can ride to the hub and walk/scooter the last km.
